MICHAEL PFEIFER, Ph.D, P.E.

Michael Pfeifer is a metallurgical engineer and President of Industrial Metallurgists, LLC.  He has 14 years experience in the electronics industry.  His expertise is materials selection, evaluation, and implementation for individual materials, components, and entire assemblies.  Materials experience includes solders, platings and coatings, stampings, adhesives, and materials for environmental compliance.  Product experience includes automotive electronics, semiconductor devices, and medical devices.

Industrial Metallurgists, LLC works with mechanical and electrical design engineers on new and pre-existing designs to help select materials that optimize performance and cost and to ensure that products pass their required validation tests the first time.  He also works with manufacturing engineers on process development and helping solve manufacturing yield issues. 

Industrial Metallurgists, LLC has access to a complete metallurgical analysis lab in order to perform materials and failure analyses.
