Neutral pH C + CoQ10

This superior form of vitamin C enters the bloodstream faster, stays in the body longer and has the ability to reach the cells faster (up to 4 times more efficient) compared to ordinary vitamin C. Ester-C is a neutral pH formulation and not an acidic form of vitamin C which is known to cause stomach irritation and diarrhea. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is required for tissue growth and repair, adrenal gland function, and healthy gums. It protects against the harmful effects of pollution, helps to prevent cancer, protects against infection, and enhances immunity. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron, and may reduce cholesterol levels and high blood pressure and prevent arteriosclerosis. Essential in the formation of collagen, it protects against blood clotting and bruising, and promotes the healing of wounds and burns. Contains the following ingredients:

Ester C: Has a neutral pH and unlike other forms of vitamin C, will not cause stomach acid problems. Ester C stays in the blood stream longer than regular vitamin C, making it the most effective source available.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): Plays a crucial role in the generation of cellular energy, is a significant immunologic stimulant, increases circulation, has anti-aging effects, and is beneficial for the cardiovascular system. Deficiencies of CoQ10 have been linked to heart disease.

Taurine: High concentrations are found in the heart muscle, white blood cells, skeletal muscle, and central nervous system. It is vital for the proper utilization of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, and it has been shown to play a particular role in sparing the loss of potassium from the heart muscle. Diabetes increases the body's need for taurine.

Glycine: Useful for repairing damaged tissues and promoting healing.

Serine: Needed for the proper metabolism of fats and fatty acids, the growth of muscle, and the maintenance of a healthy immune system.

Proline: Improves skin texture by aiding in the production of collagen and reducing the loss of collagen through the aging process. It also helps in the healing of cartilage and the strengthening of joints, tendons, and heart muscle. It works with vitamin C to promote healthy connective tissue.

Lysine: Aids in the production of antibodies, hormones, and enzymes, and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair. Because it helps to build muscle protein, it is good for those recovering from surgery and sports injuries. It also lowers high serum triglyceride levels.

Methionine: Assists in the breakdown of fats, thus helping to prevent a buildup of fat in the liver and arteries that might obstruct blood flow to the heart, brain, and kidneys.

Vitamin B6: B6 is involved in more bodily functions than almost any other single nutrient. It affects both physical and mental health. It is beneficial if you suffer from water retention, and is necessary for the production of hydrochloric acid and the absorption of fats and protein. It also aids in maintaining sodium and potassium balance, and promotes red blood cell formation. It is required by the nervous system, and is needed for normal brain function. Vitamin B6 plays a role in cancer immunity and aids in the prevention of arteriosclerosis. It inhibits the formation of a toxic chemical called homocysteine, which attacks the heart muscle and allows the deposition of cholesterol around the heart muscle. A deficiency may cause acne, anorexia, arthritis, conjunctivitis, depression, dizziness, fatigue, hyperirritability, impaired wound healing, learning difficulties, weak memory, hearing difficulties, and oily facial skin.

Folate (folic acid): Considered brain food, folate is needed for energy production and the production of red blood cells. It may also help depression and anxiety. Folate works best when combined with vitamin B12 and vitamin C. A deficiency may be caused by inadequate consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, or eating only cooked vegetables as cooking destroys it.

Vitamin B12: Is needed to prevent anemia. It aids folate (folic acid) in the formation of red blood cells, and helps in the utilization of iron. It is required for proper digestion, absorption of foods, and the synthesis of protein, metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Vitamin B12 is linked to the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that assists in memory and learning. Deficiency can be caused by malabsorption, most common in the elderly, and those with digestive disorders. Can cause chronic fatigue, constipation, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, eye disorders, headaches, memory loss, moodiness, and spinal cord degeneration.

Calcium: Is vital for the formation of strong bones and teeth and for the maintenance of healthy gums. It is also important in the maintenance of regular heartbeat and the transmission of nerve impulses. Calcium lowers cholesterol levels and helps prevent cardiovascular disease. It is needed for muscular growth and contraction and for the prevention of muscle cramps. This important mineral is essential in blood clotting, may lower blood pressure and prevent bone loss associated with osteoporosis.

Magnesium: A deficiency may cause confusion, insomnia, irritability, poor digestion, rapid heartbeat, seizures, and can be synonymous with diabetes. Magnesium deficiency is the root of many cardiovascular problems as well as asthma, chronic fatigue, depression, and insomnia, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Selenium: Deficiencies of selenium have been linked to cancer and heart disease, exhaustion, growth impairment, high cholesterol, infections, liver impairment, pancreatic insufficiency and sterility.

Potassium: Deficiencies of potassium may cause abnormally dry skin, acne, chills, cognitive impairment, constipation, depression, diarrhea, edema, nervousness, insatiable thirst, glucose intolerance, growth impairment, high cholesterol, low blood pressure, muscular fatigue and weakness, periodic headaches, and salt retention.

Citrus Bioflavonoids: Bioflavonoids are some of the most widespread biologically active substances in plants. They prevent the formation of free radicals, and prevent capillary walls from becoming permeable and less resistant to leakage. They are anti-inflammatory, immune supporting, stimulate antibody production, support T-cell formation and inhibit the activity of endotoxins (potent liver-damaging chemicals produced by bacteria).

Para-aminobenzoic Acid (PABA): PABA plays a role in the breakdown and use of proteins, and in the formation of red blood cells. It also stimulates production of folic acid in the intestines, and helps maintain the health of the skin and hair.
